Dairy-Free Meatloaf Recipe
Ready in approx. 1-1.5 hrs
Serves 8 people
Sauce Topping Ingredients
¾ Cup Ketchup
1 ½ tsp red wine vinegar
2 ½ tsp brown sugar
¼ tsp salt
1 ½ tsp onion powder
1 ½ tsp garlic powder
Pinch of black pepper
(Optional) bread crumbs
Ingredients
2 lbs ground beef chuck
1 onion
1 celery
⅓ cup unsweetened almond/oat/or soy milk
⅓ cup ketchup
1 tsp garlic
1 tsp salt
1 ½ tsp Italian season
1 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Preparation
Put ground chuck in bowl. Add onion, celery, milk, ketchup, garlic, salt, Italian seasoning, black pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix ingredients and meat together thoroughly.
Take about a handful (or how much you desire) of meat and shape into a loaf. Do this with all the rest of the meat until you have 4-6 loafs of meat. Put in a baking dish. Bake in oven for approx. 45 mins
While loafs cook, prepare sauce. Mix Ketchup, red wine vinegar, brown sugar, salt, onion powder, garlic powder, black pepper in a saucepan on the stove. Simmer on medium heat for 10-15 mins.
Take loafs out of oven, and spread sauce on top. Put back in the oven for 15 mins.
Take out and Enjoy!
Tips
This is completely dairy free so DO NOT ADD EGGS! I know its tempting and you think it won’t stick together without the eggs, but I promise it will! ;)
Use the juice from the meat to make a gravy
Don’t forget to check and make sure the meat is cooked all the way through after cooking. Cut one loaf in half to check the middle.
